Steve Saleen has been creating performance cars for 25 years now. They have included the fastest production Mustang, the S302 Extreme, and the 200mph+ Saleen S7. Recently Saleen retired from Saleen Inc. before creating a new company SMS Limited. To celebrate a quarter of a century in the business Steve Saleen now presents us with the 25th anniversary Mustang Concept boasting a power output of 720hp and 670ft lbs. of torque .
Saleen commented “In celebration of my 25 years in the niche manufacturing business I wanted to create a personal car for myself that appropriately marks this very special Anniversary. The functional aesthetic innovations that we have developed are truly exceptional in every way. Though this car is not going to be for sale, it nevertheless demonstrates the technological advances present at SMS.”
That awesome power comes courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine found lurking beneath the carbon fibre bodywork. The interior gets a new two-tone custom made leather upholstery to enhance the exclusivity of the vehicle.
